About the Presenters
Jason Laird is a communications strategist and co-owner of Clear Source Communications in Great Falls, Montana. With well over a decade of direct experience in broadcast television and radio, he works with leaders and organizations to clarify their message, build trust through earned media, and protect their reputation in an increasingly complex media landscape.
A former broadcast professional with more than 13 years of media experience, Jason has helped organizations across government, business, and industry navigate public communication challenges. He presented at SHOT Show 2026 in Las Vegas on earned media strategy and is the recipient of the 2024 Radio Commercial of the Year from the Montana Broadcasters Association. Jason also owns Treasure State Armory and brings firsthand business experience to his communications work.
Shannon Newth is a storyteller and media professional with a background in journalism, film, and strategic communications. She co-owns Clear Source Communications with her husband, Jason Laird, where they leverage decades of media experience to help organizations tell their stories with clarity and impact.
Before launching her PR work, Shannon spent 14 years with the Montana Television Network as an anchor, reporter, and producer, earning Montana On-Air Broadcaster of the Year in 2020 and 2021. She also serves as Content Director and Film Liaison for Visit Great Falls, where she leads destination storytelling efforts, including the award-winning documentary Feisty Women of Great Falls.
